Panel Session: “Investing in Synergies and Innovation: Innovation Ecosystems in Action”
EELBE had the pleasure of participating in the 2nd day of Innovent Forum at JOIST Innovation Park in Larissa, in a discussion that highlighted the importance of collaboration, knowledge exchange and stronger links between innovation ecosystems across Greece.
The panel was co-moderated by Prof. Fouskas and Eleni Zarimi, while Dimitris Tsitsamis participated as panelist on behalf of EELBE.
The discussion focused on a message that is central to EELBE’s perspective: innovation does not grow in isolation. It requires stronger connections between business, academia, technology actors, institutions and the next generation of professionals. In the field of logistics and supply chain, this is especially important, because innovation is not only about ideas. It is about turning knowledge into practical solutions, stronger capabilities and measurable impact in the real economy.
From EELBE’s side, it was emphasized that the role of an ecosystem is to bring these worlds closer together. Greece has talented people, promising initiatives, active institutions and strong ideas. What is often needed is more systematic collaboration, stronger interconnection between regions and sectors, and clearer pathways from dialogue to implementation.
We would like to warmly thank Prof. Fouskas, Eleni Zarimi, Ioannis Kourtidis, Nikos Zaharis, Manos Macromallis, Costas Tramantzas and Lefteris Katsiadakis, as well as everyone who attended the discussion, for their valuable contribution.
It was especially encouraging to see important innovation communities and events from different cities come closer together: the Technology Forum of Thessaloniki, Panathēnea in Athens, and Innovent Forum in Larissa. This kind of interaction is exactly what Greece needs in order to strengthen a truly connected and dynamic national innovation ecosystem.
Congratulations to the JOIST team for organizing an excellent event and for creating a space where dialogue, collaboration and new synergies can grow.
At EELBE, we remain committed to supporting initiatives that connect innovation with the real needs of the market and help build stronger bridges between regions, sectors and people.
